OSCAR 2024: LA STORIA NON INSEGNA MAI NULLA

A Hollywood sono stati assegnati i premi Oscar 2024. Pochissime sorprese e una triste ricorrenza: la storia non ci insegna mai nulla.

In un Hollywood che vede ogni stagione cambiare pochissimo le gerarchie dei protagonisti, nessuna novità di rilievo nella notte più importante dell’anno. Le statuette più ambite sono infatti andate a due film in un certo modo storici: Oppenheimer e La zona di interesse. Entrambi, ben fatti e precisi nella ricostruzione della realtà storica, evidenziano ancora una volta in maniera paradossale quanto ci siano alcuni argomenti che, nonostante se ne parli sempre ed in continuazione, non insegnano nulla agli esseri umani. Mai necessario quanto in questi giorni del conflitto terribile in Medioriente, La zona di interesse esalta l’indifferenza dell’animo, che, mentre a Hollywood si ride e si celebra la notte degli Oscar, assiste senza soffrire alla morte di decine di migliaia di bambini innocenti. Prima quelli ebrei e poi, in numero incredibilmente più alto, quelli palestinesi. E neppure metterci davanti agli occhi la terribile storia appena precedente al lancio della bomba atomica, serve a muovere gli animi di chi ci governa.

Stati e società tranquille rispetto a quello che succede, ovviamente non solo in Medioriente. E così, provando a premiare quello che poi servirà a poco, vengono messi in seconda fila film più direttamente connessi ad altri tipi di conflitti e tragedie dell’animo umano: la solitudine, la lettura della vita, e dei giorni che ci passano velocemente, nello splendido viaggio in cui mano nella mano ci porta Wim Wenders con il suo Perfect days. E la storia della debolezza, proprio fisica, della donna nei confronti dell’uomo, nella splendida visione di Povere creature, che ci spiattella la condizione delle donne in ancora tantissimi stati nel mondo. Le prigioni che a volte creiamo agli altri per delle incredibili assurdità (prigioni che di fronte al senso della vita solo nulla), come per esempio l’assurdità di voler predominare sull’universo femminile, fanno paura quanto la durezza dell’animo del gendarme tedesco della Zona di interesse. Spiace un po’ per Paul Giamatti, lo splendido protagonista maschile di The Holdovers, anche lui a raccontare, in una sola, le vite di tante persone nel mondo. Una splendida interpretazione in ogni sfumatura del viso, che ricorderemo nonostante non sia stato premiato: l’Oscar viene dato invece a Cillian Murphy.

Le note più colorate della notte guarda caso vengono ancora da Barbie, con una splendida performance in rosa di Ryan Gosling, che ha alluminato un teatro e una cerimonia piuttosto fredde e noiose. Ora subito al lavoro per il prossimo anno. Che il 2025 ci porti qualcosa di più artistico e che possa muoverci di più. Ah dimenticavo, Emma Stone e Da'Vine Joy Randolph però, sono sempre brave e la qualità dei film che si giocavano “la finale” era si, davvero buona.
