Join us for an exclusive interview with Yaourou, a creative talent at the forefront of the fashion world. In this conversation, we explore the unique inspirations and perspectives that drive her artistic journey.

Hello Yaourou, welcome to Milan Weekly. Would you love to tell us about the very beginning of your career?

Hi :) It was a catwalk but I was not excited about it, hence I won’t mention the name of the Designer. I was the shortest model, at 5’9, and considered fat at size 8.

Tell us about your first artwork.

Not sure about the first artwork.

I can tell you however about an edgy shoot that I model for, for Louis Mariette and thought had an important ethical concept. It is called “Tribal Instinct.” It was higlitingting the importance of preserving, respecting rare indigenous tribes globally and pushing forward such issues for them like land rights and government support.

How did your work evolve in time?

I guess, before a modelling job was just a modelling job. Now I pay more attention to assignment that I’ll accept.

In this specific editorial, what do you love the most?

The mood and feeling, they were something in the air that day... Love the clothing too.

Are there some other artists that you would love to work with?

I would have to know the artists. I now want to work with people based on their values, talent and personality.

Have you ever been to Milan?

Yes I have been to Milan a few time actually.

My favourite experience was when I’ve been to Milan attending Carra Hosiery runway. Detail here:

What are your future aspirations and goals within the modeling industry?

Creating my own brand.

Love or fame?

Love.

What is your relationship with fashion and what is your favorite style?

Fashion for me is a form of self-care and boost your mood and confidence.

I love the elegance of the 1960.

Tell us a secret that you’re ready to share with our readers.

I used to be a very shy girl who did not speak to anybody, and now I am describe as charismatic and powerful.
